The following draft timeline of activities lists major strategic planning tasks and deadlines that must be accomplished in order to prepare and receive approval for EKU’s 2022 Strategic Plan:

Stakeholder Listening Sessions
During Fall 2020, stakeholder listening sessions were held with the following campus groups:

–Student Government Association
–Staff Council
–Provost Council
–Chairs Council
–President’s Cabinet
–President’s Council for Institutional Excellence & Innovation
–Alumni & Foundation Boards (TBD)
–Board of Regents (TBD)

 

Stakeholder Survey

During Spring 2021, a survey to gather input for the strategic planning process will be made available to all university constitutents.

Strategic Planning Process: 

Guiding Tenets, Priorities, and Timeline

Phase I: Fall 2020 (Dialogue)  —Stakeholder Listening Sessions and Stakeholder Survey

Phase II:  Spring 2021 (Create) —Evaluate EKU Mission and Vision; Develop and Affirm Goals; Craft Strategic Initiatives; Identify Strategies; Prepare Portfolio of Objectives and Aligned Metrics for Unit-Level Plans.

Phase III: Fall 2021 (Engage)  —Share Strategic Plan drafts with stakeholders and elicit feedback; Develop metric language and methods for interim reporting; Prepare implementation plans

Phase IV:  Spring - Fall 2022 (Plan) —Approve EKU Strategic Plan; Develop Unit-Level Plans; Establish Reporting Cycles and Expectations; Formal Strategic Plan Launch.
